Tonight we had a little get together for Aimee at Paradise Bakery. She celebrated her birthday on Sunday so we thought it was the perfect opportunity to party!! We had a great time! Come join Caroline Miller and make a fun school scrapbook to store all your children's school keepsakes! This book is constructed of a clipboard and office folders. Initially Yours was a blast earlier this week. Most of the ladies decided to take them home to add a few personal embellishments such as buttons from their grandmothers stash and family photos. I love the idea of adding family heirlooms to any project! It was so fun to see each of their personal styles! If you didn't get to take this class and you wanted to, you're in luck. We decided to teach it again on Wednesday, August 20th from 6-8!

The new accordion file folder book

Hi again its time for a new class, the accordion file folder book. This book is a unique class that will be taught by Caroline Miler on July 12 from 1-5pm. The cost is $48.00. This class builds a book with office folders and chip board and the lovely Jenni Bowlin and Teresa Collins papers. This is a great way to store all your loose leaf papers, your child's artwork or paper scrap booking supplies. Come join us for a fun filled day of creating!

CREATE class (Computer Style)

Come check out the new computer class that Family Scrapbook Studio is offering, taught by Eva Flake. This class is for anyone who has ever seen a cute card, handout or scrapbook page and wonder "How did they do that?" This class will teach you how to type your text to read sideways, in a circle or even layer them. Expect to learn shapes, text boxes, word art and more. You will learn tips and tricks for customizing color and sizing.

This class will be presented with a laptop being set up in the lab with a projector so that all of the students can watch each step as it is being taught. The class will be taught using a PC in Microsoft Word. If you are a Mac user and have Microsoft Word, still come! The instructions are easily adaptable.

These are my new baby books I will be teaching at Family Scrapbook Studio on Saturday, June 28 from 1pm-5pm. My name is Caroline Miller, I am a new teacher at Family Scrapbook studio, and I am excited to share these books with you. These books are full of the new Basic grey paper lines and the new self adhesive chip board shapes. On the front of the books are Pottery Barn Kids wooden letters, so fun! These books allow you to document the first twelve months of a baby's life with journaling spots and space to place a photo. If you are interested in this project call the store to sign up or you can see the project in person at the store, please specify if you want the "boy" or "girl" book. Thanks for looking!

We are very excited to have some super fun classes just for kids this summer. The details are on the website but I wanted to share some of the pictures of the projects available to make.

Flip Flops June 11th @ 10AM. Color choices are pink, purple, orange & yellow. You supply the flops we provide over 11 feet of ribbon and a flower.
Laminated Laced-Up Card June 18th @10AM. Color choices vary and do include boy colors

Wooden Monogram Letter June 18th @ 1PM and July 23rd @ 10AM. Please pick out two coordinating papers and fill out the

Cork/Dry Erase Board July 16th @ 10 AM. Make these cute embellishments out of fun foam to decorate your board.

I will be teaching this fun class this Saturday from 1-3 p.m. at the store. We'll do a little more playing with acrylic and the finished project makes a great decoration for a shelf or mantle. You can also fold it into a square and place candle in the center! (be sure to not leave the candle unattended).
Cost is just $25 and includes everything you need, except for the pictures, of course!

If you haven't been in the store lately, you NEED to come in! We have a lot of new product arriving all the time! We just put out the new Making Memories New Noteworthy lines, aren't they just gorgeous papers?!! I think so too :) we also have the Spiral journaling notebooks to go with the paper lines.

Here is the Animal cracker line, Jack and Ella. Just a few of the papers we carry, there are a few more different ones in the store plus the spiral jounaling notebooks too.

AND.... all the YUMMY new Making Memories ribbon! they are gorgeous here in the picture, but even more beautiful in person!

We also just received the Carolees sports line, the papers, stickers and ribbons/twine to go with it.

We also have the Melissa Frances "Thankful" line, 7 Gypsies ATC holder and all the goodies to go with it. Oh, I almost forgot about the new Kaiser Craft line, they are a fantastic new company with wonderful papers, wooden die cut shapes, rhinestones, pearls and wooden projects to decorate yourself; clocks, mirrors and frames.

Let us tell you about our day. Super fun! As always when a group of girls (not to mention family) get together and act silly. Laughing til we cry. So, pretty much today was education day for us. We all had classes; GGma took a jewelry making class from Ranger Ink, Shirley took a mini book from Daisy D's, Molly had a class with Prima which was an acrylic album, and Aimee took a layout and card class from Melissa Frances. All of which were really fun, and learn many new techniques. After which, we got in the car to go to our next location, and of course the GPS starts spinning us in circles. We only needed to go about 5 miles away, and ended up driving for about an hour in the car. Molly and Aimee start taking pictures of random things in the car, and end up taking a picture of Molly's elbow squished together. Absolutly hilarious! It looked like a rear end. Try it. So we sent it to some friends and told them we were "bummed" they couldn't be here with us. The reponses were too funny. But really we do wish everyone could experience this at least once. Wish you were here, but since you aren't, here are the photos of our classes. Let us know what you think!

CHA or Bust!

Oh my goodness! Shirley, Barbara, Molly, Aimee and baby Pyper headed off to CHA (Craft and Hobby Association)...super cool convention with all the newest scrapbook products! It is held in Anaheim, California. You would think it would be smooth sailing, but with four and a half girls, that's a no go. So we planned to leave the good QC about noon today, but uh...we had Burger King issues, totally spaced bringing the GPS (HUGE MISTAKE), and Aimee had to drop Gaje 2 1/2 year old off with his other grandma. Well, Molly is now going through aestetic school, and doesn't get out until 2:30 pm so no biggie, we were going to swing by and pick her up, and the boys (Kyle and Trevor) would bring her car home. Until the boys picked the car up too early, taking all of her clothes back to QC. Nice, huh? Then, Gaje's grandma had no cell phone and the plans to meet up with her got super confused. And Barbara (GGma) lives in Lehi... so well, you get the picture...girlfriends didn't get out of town until later than planned to say the least. But, with smiles on our faces, we headed for Cali, until one of us of course had to go to the bathroom. And GGma brought her GPS, but you have to hold the cord just right, and Aimee now has a permanently cramped hand for holding it for hours... lets just say she took one for the team. So, then we pull up to a scary town, you know the ones. Some homeless guy starts staring Molly down in the front seat, so we all decide to "not make eye contact" easier said than done.... he walks up to Shirley (pumping gas) and asks "I'm looking for happiness, you got any extra?" Right. And asks for a ride to LA. Wrong-o pal. So, on we go. After circling the freeways, around and around oh, and around we find our hotel. Great, so we go downstairs to ask about internet, to keep you all posted... and the ground is shaking. Literally. We were feeling a little tipsy right about now. GGma fends for herself and finds a pillar to stand by, where Aimee almost falls to the ground. We asked the guys at the front desk if they felt it...nope, just us....? Right. They kept asking us if we had a long flight... no, we drove....bumpy drive.....NO! Whatever. So, any who WE MADE IT! Be prepared to see the coolest stuff of your life this weekend!
